As a multimedia and/or interactive producer, one must always think of new and innovative ways to tell stories. The options are endless, yet many times the problem is simply not knowing all of the possibilities while storyboarding a project.
Below is a quick assessment I gave myself to name five options under each “main” media form (in no particular order): video, audio, photography, interactivity, text and graphics. Try to add to my list. OR, better yet, make a list of your own and leave it by your desk to help spark some ideas next time you are planning a large multimedia project.
Feel free to download a blank copy of my brainstorming exercise here. Like what you came up with? Email it to me at tracynboyer@gmail.com and I will post it alongside mine. Also, if I have left out any that you feel are particularly important, please leave a comment below so we can grow out this list.
