Looks like Shell joined the multimedia bandwagon to publicize their efforts on tackling the energy dilemma. “Real Energy World” takes users through a futuristic map, pointing out Shell’s major initiatives, including an infographic on “Tackling Urban Air Pollution” and interactive games depicting the problem solving process. They use 3D animation to allow users to “Explore the Snake Well Drill.” While exploring the site, I found videos, graphics, 3D objects, games, text, photos, graphs, illustrations, a timeline and a map, all inside an interactive and slick presentation. Now that’s what I call a great example of multimedia!
When I clicked on additional information, it took me to an entirely new interactive graphic on “Looking ahead: Scenarios,” which plotted out different scenarios from now until 2050.
I wrote a previous post about Chevron’s new energy efficiency campaign. There are a lot of similarities between the two energy conservation sites. I’m not going to pick a favorite, but that doesn’t mean you can’t!
