Innovative Interactivity is truly going global. My sister lives in Abu Dhabi and is working with engineering giant CH2M HILL to build the first zero carbon, zero waste city powered entirely by renewable energy sources. After learning about the project, I was fascinated with their amazing 3D and motion graphic work showcased in their promotional videos. If you like graphics and design, you’ll love this.
The Masdar Initiative coins itself as the “most ambitious sustainable development in the world today,” attempting to create an entirely eco-friendly city in the middle of Abu Dhabi’s desert. After watching the promotional video, you might think you have jumped into a version of Second Life.
What I love most about the video are the fast paced edits synched to the upbeat music. The 3D and motion graphics are high quality, and it makes me intrigued to learn more. I wonder if we can bring this type of multimedia into journalism storytelling in any way. What do you think?
