I am leaving for Honduras this Friday to report on malnutrition for the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. I will be gone until July 17th, therefore I have asked guest bloggers to help II prosper while I’m gone. Thanks to everyone who offered to help blog. I am proud to say that I have a great list of bloggers covering some pretty awesome topics, so keep an eye out for the following posts:
June 11: María Angélica Kaltwasser, “Why we, as institutions and companies, should friend and tweet”
June 18: Richard Cornish, “A gentle introduction to the Django Web framework”
June 25: Brian Vernellis, “Multimedia coverage of sporting events”
July 2: Adam Westbrook, “Free apps for multimedia journalists”
July 9: Matt Ford, “The future of interactive videos”
July 16: Steven King, “Inside News Innovations at The Washington Post”
I hope this goes without saying, but please treat these bloggers with respect and engage in conversation with them. I see the analytics and know that hundreds of you read my blog every day, but these guest bloggers do not know this so speak up if you enjoyed their post! They spent a lot of hard time and effort writing these posts for you, so I am excited to read what I hope will be an engaging thread of conversation about each weekly post.
On another note, if you are curious what I am doing in rural Honduras, I encourage you to check out my project page and blog on The Pulitzer Center’s Website.
Good luck Tracy! And thanks again for the opportunity.
I hope all goes well in Honduras.
Have a great time over there! Looking forward to seeing what your guests have to say.
Good article – plenty of food for thought.
