Drop everything and go play Trivial Pursuit. No, not the old board game that is probably collecting dust in your game closet. I’m talking about the new “Trivial Pursuit experiment- Who’s smarter than who?,” where men and women compete against each other in this interactive feature. Currently, the women are just narrowly winning, so join in and get some Flash inspiration while playing this fun game!
Users pick their side (male vs female) and begin answering questions from one of the traditional categories. Once you submit your guess, your answer card will showcase a comical YouTube video dependent on whether you got the question right or wrong. For instance, it showed me “The Racquetball Trick” when I got it right (ie making fun of men), and “At the Car Wash …” when I got it wrong (ie making fun of women).
The functionality behind the game is pretty impressive, as it tracks your recent game activity in the card stack as well as in the “Team News” feeds. You can also make your own “banter card” to encourage friends to play the game, or register for the “Trivial Pursuit Wedgie Awards” by uploading a bloopers video. The immense selection of questions allows users to remain engaged for hours on end.
Now, I understand some might argue that this site has little benefit to society and minimal educational value, but I’d say that for a promotional piece it has certainly got my attention … Enjoy!
