Announcing two new features: event calendar and people directory

Andrea and I have been busy behind-the-scenes preparing some extra features on the site that will hopefully be useful to many of you. The first is an events calendar, which currently has more than 100 competition deadlines, workshop, training and conference dates, and informal meet-ups happening in 2010. If you would like to add your event to our calendar, please contact us with the relevant information and we will be happy to include it.

We also recently launched a directory that will aggregate people’s names, professional titles, and portfolio and social media sites. We are just getting started adding all of our contacts, so if you are currently not listed please contact us so we can add you! Please also feel free to contact us if you would like us to make any changes to the current entries. Our hope is that this will become the go-to spot to find talented individuals in our field, and for those in the field to learn more about each other.
