Multimedia Tip: Editing and converting audio files
During my reporting trip to Honduras, I made my first attempt at a documentary audio slide show. In the production phases, I came across several troublesome areas while editing my audio. Therefore, I wanted to pass along my trials and tribulations to hopefully help others who may come across similar issues.
Maintaining aspect ratio when exporting stills in Final Cut Pro
One of the downsides to being out of the field for awhile is that you come across problems that you either forgot how to solve or have yet to figure out. Since this is my first attempt at an audio slide show using my Canon HV30 for the audio, I realized that some vital photos were only taken with the video camera while recording audio. Alas, a handy work-around allows you to utilize high-quality video images in your next audio slide show.

One of the more popular posts on Innovative Interactivity is the “Multimedia types for storytellers” post. I wanted to do a second round, detailing possible post-production programs and software for each main type of multimedia: video, audio, photography, interactivity, text and graphics.
