Sometimes the best inspiration I receive is from perusing the web by following links that I find thanks to many of you! Whether on twitter, del.icio.us, email, or the blogosphere, I trust my followers to pass along the best of the best, and today’s post is the direct result of that! Data visualization tools for free or cheap
After finally taking the time to watch the NewsU webinar on data visualization that I blogged about back in March, I was inclined to research more about different apps, tools and concepts required to create compelling data visualization interactives. Interestingly enough, I have found that regardless of owning the Adobe suite, anyone can put together stunning graphics with open-source applications.

One of the more popular posts on Innovative Interactivity is the “Multimedia types for storytellers” post. I wanted to do a second round, detailing possible post-production programs and software for each main type of multimedia: video, audio, photography, interactivity, text and graphics.
